Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation
Upholding standards that define everything we do

We value integrity and resourcefulness in the creation of prosperous Irish fishing communities that respect our precious natural environment.
We strive to support our members to make the best and most sustainable use of our vast, rich and diverse marine resources so they can fish sustainably, respect the marine ecosystem and contribute to the science that underpins effective and sustainable fisheries and environmental management.
We are committed to a vibrant, prosperous and sustainable future for the Irish fishing industry where the provision of healthy food and secure employment in coastal communities continues to have minimal impact on our natural environment.

History
Our History
Established in 1979, the Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation (KFO) has been a cornerstone of Ireland’s fishing industry. Representing fishermen across Ulster, Connaught, and Munster, we unite vessels of all sizes involved in pelagic, demersal, and crustacean fisheries. Over the decades, we have championed sustainable practices, safeguarded fishing communities, and upheld the rich maritime heritage of our coastal regions.
Our People
